Th>↓ e Boccia players compete while seated in wheelch§ε<airs. The Competition is divide★≥&d into singles, doubles, and team competitions≠ . There are seven different groups based o↔£n functional classificationβ<"←. Male and female athletes in each group can' compete together. In singles and d$∞δoubles, each game has♣β₩ four innings, each player of singles σ←π∞throws six balls in each inning, and each player ♠&'♣of images throws three balls (each π♠team throws six balls); There are s←∞♠βix sets in the team competiti₹®on, and three players of each team throw≠± two balls in each group (6 for each team). ≠ε£The red ball holder throws first, and the scor ≈e is scored according to the distance £"from the pitched ball to ★ δthe center ball.
